Tango in Hamburg

LINKS

That ship that you saw at has something or much to do with the history of Argentinian Tango, due to the fact that by the end of the 19th Century and the beginning of the 20th thousandsof Europeans migrated to South America. In their modest pieces of luggagethey brought souvenirsof their leaving homeland, that one, which many would never come to see again. Among thosesouvenirs some people brought their music instruments which were tipical of their home country or region. Thus it came to the shore of Rio De La Plata the Bandoneon, which is a german musical instrument and plays a fundamental role for the development of the tango music. The ship you saw came to Hamburg-Habour. It was the beginning of the 70s. In that ship came I, theargentinian Enrique Freixa, singer and clarinet-player.May be the my music transmit something authentic from my own in my perfomances, between that feeling of melancolia combined nostalgia, which caused by inmigration.
